Pheasants are known world wide for their amazing displays and plumage, especially the males. Pheasants have always been a species of bird that we have always wanted to raise and we have been fortunate to acquire the species that we have today. Here at VFF we raise mostly ornamental breeds which can be seen below.

Quails are a species of bird that are used for a variety of purposes. Some use them for meat or eggs similar to a chicken. This is because quails on average lay more eggs than a chicken and can be kept in smaller pens since they are smaller birds. Although we have not raised quails for meat, we do have ornamental breeds of quail that we keep.
